Dena is SPHR and SHRM – SCP certified and has 20+ years of experience in human resources. Her expertise includes services management, employee relations, executive leadership, and business effectiveness. Dena is especially knowledgeable of and experienced in learning and organizational development. She has created and facilitated learning programs that raise awareness, provide solutions, and transform a company’s or business unit’s effectiveness.

She has been Vice President of Human Resources for companies up to 40,000 employees nationally and internationally. Dena has experience in the financial services, travel and hospitality, and oil and gas industries. She also has been a small business owner and business consultant helping new owners build infrastructure and launch effective programs while positively impacting ROI.
Today, Dena is Senior HR Consultant for BridgeWork Partners, which is recognized as the 2018 Best Places to Work by the Dallas Business Journal for building strong team cultures.

Dena represents the firm’s human resources portfolio, BridgeWorkHR, which is an integral business entity for BridgeWork Partners. Dena is in charge of coaching and training the internal team on best-in-class human resources practices. She also consults with the firm’s clients leveraging her strong human resources leadership and execution strategies to add value and build long term partnerships.
Dena is known for leading with integrity and championing transformational strategic change while implementing process efficiency and cost controls. She is creative and resourceful, a positive fixer and a true collaborator in addressing organizational issues and generating operational process improvement. Her authentic personality makes her an approachable and trusted mentor and consultant who coaches for performance, fosters employee growth and development, and builds high-performing teams.

Dena is a past executive member of the Dallas Women’s Foundation Board of Trustees and continues to be a part of DWF’s “ripple effect” by making charitable gifts to the Foundation’s mission of investing in women and girls in our community and empowering women through philanthropy.

Dena is an avid tennis player and a USTA, ITA and Big 12 tennis official. She is sought out by teams and team captains for her consistent and powerful game and also for her steadiness, fairness, and energy as a team player. As a tennis official, she calls matches from the chair and the line for area high schools and colleges. For the Big 12, she frequently assists TCU, OSU, OU, and Baylor to call matches and tournaments.

Dena is a graduate of Texas Christian University and has an MBA with HR concentration from the University of Dallas.
